Returns & Approvals

Live with it before you commit.

Last updated: April 25, 2026. JG sells art that holds the room. We want every collector to feel the work fits before final commitment. The terms below describe how that works.

14-Day Approval Period

Most works ship on approval. The buyer has 14 days from delivery to live with the work and confirm. If the work doesn't fit the space or doesn't carry the way the photograph promised, return it within 14 days for a full refund minus return shipping.

Approval period begins on the date of delivery confirmation. The work must be returned in original packing materials, in the condition received.

What's Excluded from Approval Returns

Damage in Transit

If a work arrives damaged, photograph the crate exterior and the work itself before unpacking further. Notify the gallery within 48 hours of delivery. We file the carrier insurance claim and either repair, replace, or refund the work depending on extent. The buyer is not financially responsible for transit damage on insured shipments.

Refund Process

Once the work is back at the gallery and confirmed in original condition, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days. Return shipping cost is deducted unless the return is due to gallery error or transit damage.

Resale Through the Gallery

For works outside the approval window, JG offers consignment-based resale for collectors. Works originally placed by us retain priority — we know the condition history, provenance, and a market for the artist. Standard commission applies; specifics discussed at the time.

Trade Program Returns

Trade program members and collectors purchasing for installation may arrange extended approval periods (typically 30 days) before purchase. This is set in writing before the work ships.
